Shoemaking or cobbling continues to be an art form long steeped in tradition and dignity. Traditionally, cobblers are craftsmen who can repair shoes for a fraction of the cost of a replacement pair, which is good news for your budget during these sometimes difficult economic times.
Our prices are very reasonable and our shoe cobblers have all the years of expertise and training necessary to successfully repair your shoes with the utmost in care and respect.
At Westown Shoe Clinic & Repair, our customers can depend upon honest, friendly, fast and reliable service. We can quickly fix and repair anything!
Luigi Del Guercio
Luigi Del Guercio and his trademark smile have a long, proud history with the shop. Apprenticing under his father-in-law over 30 years ago, he has worked to grow the family business. Joe (Nono) Cannata has been repairing shoes for over 20 years. Many Londoners will remember him as the Village Cobbler in Wortley Village, where he sold and repaired Birkenstocks and high-end fashion shoes. His addition to the shop was a real coup. Joe is known for his exceptional attention to detail, if it's not right it's not leaving the shop!
Richard Manuel began repairing shoes for Moneysworth and Best in Masonville Place in 1990. Otherwise known as Mr Stitch-it, Richard has become known for his creativity. If the job needs a needle and thread, he's your guy. He can modify riding boots by making the calf bigger or smaller and the boot shorter or taller. He is also an expert at replacing zippers in purses and backpacks and converting lace-up shoes to Velcro in such a way that it's hard to tell there has even been a change. You have to see it to believe it.
